BMS has supplied a dredging pump to a send quarry that extract river sand. The pump is installed on a pontoon and delivers the sand through a floating pipe line to a washing and sizing mobile plant. The pump is able to handle up to 30% solids and is equipped with a number of protections – heat protection, water in the motor compartment, oil level.
The BMS dredging pumps has a protection grid in the suction area that is designed to keep coarser particles and debris away.
The protection grid is designed in a way that keeps coarse material and debris away from the pump but in the meantime provides a higher % of pass-through area that most of our competitors have. In this way we protect not only the pump but also improve the performance of the trash screen, decreasing the amount of various debris that need to be separated and evacuated from the washing plant.
